Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer generated controversy after a video surfaced of him receiving a lap dance from a much younger woman. Meyer, who is married for over 35 years, has apologized for the video, saying that he “should have left.”
Meyer was hired by the Jaguars in the winter after many years of success in college football. He has won three national championships and is a future candidate for the College Football Hall of Fame. This video, however, is a major dent to his legacy.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan publicly reprimanded Meyer by saying that his actions were “inexcusable.” Even worse, Jaguars players allegedly laughed at him after he attempted to apologize.
The Jaguars are an NFL-worst 0-4 this season, and Meyer may have already lost the respect of the locker room.
