Jets Hoping Zach Wilson will break their Quarterback Curse

The New York Jets selected BYU quarterback Zach Wilson as the 2nd overall pick.  He is widely considered to be the second best quarterback in the draft after Trevor Lawrence.

After early struggles to his college career, he excelled in his final year, with 3,692 yards, 33 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.

He is replacing the Jets’ former first round pick Sam Darnold, whose era was a disappointment.

The Jets have not drafted a star quarterback since “Broadway” Joe Namath in 1965.
