The Pittsburgh Steelers had a forgettable draft. They did not draft anybody in the first round and their first pick in their second round was Notre Dame wide receiver Chase Claypool, who had a good season last year, but was definitely not the best wide receiver prospect in this draft. With Roethlisberger getting older and the Steelers already having a mediocre offense to begin with, it seems that they are strongly relying on Mike Tomlin’s coaching and their defense.
The good news is Tomlin is a great coach and the Steelers have a championship-caliber defense. If an elite future Hall of Fame quarterback and Roethlisberger can rally the troops around him, the Steelers might be a really dark horse for a title run, which would be a nightmare for AFC North rivals, particularly Baltimore and Cleveland.
